Anime:

Sing-songwriter Hikaru Utada (宇多田 ヒカル) will begin her concert tour of the U.K. and the U.S. in January. You can see her concert dates and cities here.

If you're a fan of the Kissxsis manga and OAD series, you'll be happy to hear that an anime series has been decided for Spring 2010. The OAD's have been hugely popular although the manga series has yet to be released in the US.

Cure Maid Cafes and other cosplay cafes will be celebrating the Macross Frontier Movie launch by holding a Macross F Cafe Event (マクロスFカフェ)from November 13th - November 29th (and in some places until December 3rd). They'll offer a special menu and collectible coasters. Meanwhile it's time to make your reseverations for the Cure Maid Cafe Christmas Party on December 23rd, 2009. Check their website for details.

If you're a fan of the K-On! (けいおん) series, you'll be happy to know that Broccoli has begun accepting pre-orders for the 2010 release of some of the teacups and saucers seen in the series. Cute! Tea time is making a come back!

The Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Movie (魔法少女リリカルなのは The MOVIE 1st) has launched another commercial campaign, which is good news for fans because we can never get enough of Nanoha!

Eden of the East THE MOVIE (東のエデン 劇場版I The King of Eden) theatrical Trailer #2 was posted recently. Keep the trailers coming!

Baka to Test to Shōkanjū (バカとテストと召喚獣) has announced that they will begin airing the anime series on January 6th. Love their website!! Dengeki.com has some character designs posted as well as the SD images!

As you may know, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2  was unleashed upon the gaming world this past week. Unfortunately, it dwarfed almost any other gaming news on in the industry (4.7 million copies sold) and large numbers of the workforce called in sick to stay home and play the new game.
